Today was the culminating event. The interest groups shared their thoughts on how best to use 20,000 acres of Nicolet National Forest. The panel of board members asked questions and voted on the best presentation. This year, Frac Sand Mining won. We had a great experience here at camp and are looking forward to sharing about that experience with our school. Thanks, TFT Staff.

Trees for Tomorrow- Day 3
Today was another jam packed day. We started with a good breakfast and then went to a bog. We had the chance to walk around on it and explore some of the plant life. After the bog, we came back for lunch and then got geared up to go to the Nicolet National Forest. We hiked a trail and then returned to work on our 'Nicolet for Sale' presentations. After supper, we learned about raptors and played our day 2 review game. Finally, we enjoyed a game of Capture the Flag. What a fun day! Tomorrow is our final day.

Trees for Tomorrow- Day 2
Today was another packed day. We had breakfast at 7:15 am, but some kids were up at 5:00 am! After breakfast, we had the chance to Identify Trees and practice some Human Survival Skills including making a shelter, building a fire, and boiling some water. Then came lunch. After lunch, we learned about Orienteering, which is the skill of using a map and compass to find locations. We traveled to Press Forest to practice our new-found skill and toured the 22 acre area. It was a lot of fun. We returned to camp and had a little free time before dinner. After dinner, we learned a bunch about reptiles and amphibians before having the chance to handle some snakes & salamanders. Next up was the night hike which is always a camper favorite. It was a packed day and we're looking forward to another awesome day tomorrow. #BlazerPride #BlazeOn
